Port Cros Island
The Port-Cros Island is a real magical place in the Mediterranean Sea. To experience it fully, the mid-season is preferable because the rates are expensive there in July/August...
Port-Cros is classified as a Nature Park. Fishing and submarine hunting are forbidden. Anchorages are highly regulated. The main attraction of the island is walking through the undergrowth on marked trails.
Very sheltered from north-western to south-western winds (but not eastern), this anchoring area is visited by numerous sailors during the summer. In the centre of the bay, the seabed is 20 meters deep, so you have to be pretty close to the coast to anchorage. Warning : anchorage is untenable with eastern wind.
